Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, is famous as a kyusu-producing area. Since the vitrified surface is unglazed, it stores tea's aroma, and the more it is used, the more the teas will produce pleasant aromas.
Its heat-retaining ability is higher than that of porcelain kyusu and tea incrustations are hardly recognizable. The skin improves with use, turning more lustrous.
We also recommend the yuzamashi, which would match with the kyusu.
