FD Style's Waisuke Dripper
Born from the persistent explorations of the owner of Tsubame Coffee, a specialty coffee shop in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, the Waisuke Dripper is a coffee dripper that combines refined design, comfortable daily usability, and robust durability for long-lasting enjoyment.
Production is handled by FD (based in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture). Metal wires firmly hold the paper filter to support ideal extraction, while high strength achieved through TIG welding ensures long-term durability. The wire structure itself plays the role of ribs, creating space between the filter and dripper that improves hot water drainage and allows for the extraction of clean, delicious coffee. The name "Waisuke" comes from this wire skeleton structure.
Behind the product is a unique philosophy called "new folk product," which views aging not as deterioration, but as a source of character and patina. Moving away from the uniformity of mass-produced goods, it cherishes the warmth of handcrafting and a texture that deepens in emotional attachment over time.
