SyuRo has its atelier and shop at Torigoe, Taito-ku, in Tokyo - old Edo's downtown - an area filled with classic typesetters, canning factories, cloth wholesalers, and hardware stores.
These include small family-run factories engaged in meticulous craftsmanship. Artisans and their arts, cultivated over many years, remain alive here.
We must retain the treasures of our artisans, and so SyuRo decided to offer a place for artisans to make use of their artisanry by familiarizing themselves with new materials and picking up ideas on unusual household goods.
By multiplying these ideas together, we hope that the quality of the goods will improve and their popularity will grow, providing products not as special crafts goods, but as familiar items.
Creating things that are more than things, for a town of craftsmanship to continue existing as lively as before. SyuRo will continue creating, today and always, for downtown craftsmanship to thrive, with stories to tell.
Today, I received my parcel with the SyuRo A4 boxes in tinplate, brass, and copper.
They arrived in excellent condition and I am very pleased with their impeccable quality and exquisite beauty.
I would like to thank you and SyuRo for your readiness to reintroduce these large boxes and hope many customers will enjoy this great product of Japanese craftmanship.
I have taken a few photos and attached them to this message, which reflect the proportions of the various boxes; unfortunately, they can only partially demonstrate their beauty.

I would like to thank you for the SyuRo Kakukan boxes, which recently arrived in perfect condition and within only a few days.
I truly love the Kakukan, and it will be a pleasure to use them and see how the metal finish changes over time and use. Remarkably, unlike the SyuRo Kakukan I purchased from the original artisan a few years ago, the items I have just purchased do not have the "personal touch" created by scratches and smears from polishing. They appear even more sober and understated, and I like the idea that their surface developement will be entirely determined by how I handle them.

Thank you very kindly for your shipment to my US address. I am highly pleased with all of my purchases and will shop again with you soon.
What lovely ware to cherish and gift! It is a pleasure to handle and work with your wares. They are practical, high quality, beautifully finished and satisfying to the touch. I will continue to enjoy them for all of their long lifetime and am proud to gift them.
They keep all promises and exceed expectations: [Okai Mafu Shoten] Linen Fukin towel dries so well and leaves glassware sparkly clean. [THE] Soy Sauce Cruet will not spill a single drop, however it is handled. [Daiya] Katsubako Brush cleans my fine coffee grinds, disregarding the highly static environment at 7000ft/2000m... and so on. Thank you again!
The package arrived in under two weeks and in pristine shape. All items were wrapped with love and incredible attention to detail. The [Seiryugama] Sencha Cup came with a tiny, tiny chip, but that could not have happened in transit. All other items arrived in perfect condition. I have never yet received international shipments in such good shape here. Kudos to your team!
I look forward to shopping again.
All best to you and Shokunin enterprise.

*As processing of brass and copper are very difficult, there may be scratches made during the production procedure. Thank you for your understanding.
