Okubo House Mokkosha's Bread Plate
A bread plate that prevents the bread from steaming in heat, which was developed in collaboration with the gourmet scholar, Mr. Kenichi Kaneko. As the plate was made by planing the wooden board towards the center, the bread wouldn't touch the face of the plate but the points of the plate, creating a space for the steam to escape.
We have asked Okubo House Mokkosha to specially create the plates without any coating, so that the bread plates could absorb humidity more easily and would profoundly age in design. |
