Wakamatsu Showroom
On April 16, 2022, we opened our fourth showroom in Wakamatsu-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Wakamatsu was once the largest coal shipping port in the country and supported the modernization of Japan.
Wakamatsu Showroom is a very open space with a view of Wakato Ohashi Bridge and Dokai Bay outside the window. It is a place where customers can purchase carefully selected cooking utensils, tableware, folk crafts from all over Japan, and other products sold at Shokunin.com on the spot. There are about 150 items on display.
Ueno Building (also known as the Ueno Kaiun Building), a registered national tangible cultural property, was built in 1913 as the Wakamatsu branch of Mitsubishi Limited Partnership Company. Ueno Building, with its imported German bricks, retains the atmosphere of the Taisho era, and is a historical building that symbolizes the era and led the development of modern Japan in Dokai Bay, where the Wakato Ohashi Bridge, designated as an Important Cultural Property, crosses the bay. It has also been used as a filming location for movies, TV dramas, and commercials.
Dokai Bay, where a pleasant breeze blows freshly, and a panoramic view stretches outside the window. There you will surely find beautiful Japanese scenery that will be engraved in your heart. Please stop by when you are in the neighborhood.
*Please bring your passport to get a tax-free service.
Location: 307, Ueno Building, 1-10-17 Honmachi, Wakamatsu-ku, Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka 808-0034, JAPAN Google Maps
