Cutting Board Made of Antimicrobial Carbonized Wood


The cutting board is made by the knife maker, Tadafusa.

The characteristic of this cutting board, with a beautiful design without any waste, is that it is made out of antimicrobial carbonized wood produced through a special heat treatment patented by Tadafusa.

The antimicrobial carbonized wood is a non-perishable, hygienic material. It is truly a cutting board friendly to both the knives and the users of the knives.





The product is very impressive, I can't love it more! The wetting ability of the material can help the cutting board stay in place while cutting, so no need to place a mat below for stability. No odor or stains on cutting board if rinsed with water before each use as instructed. One thing to note is that please don't use cleaning agent that contains lemon acid, which will dry the board leading to chips (my sad experience). After cutting, I always use hot water (from tap) and a たわし (organic scrub) to slightly clean up the surface, haven't been able to find a powder cleaning that is gentle on this material which is unfortunate. Strongly recommend this one! And I am looking forward to trying the renew service (maybe in a decade or 2) which requires a pro to cut off the outer surface to let the inner layers to show. Thank you for sending my order so well packaged as always and shipped so quickly. I really love the Tadafusa Cutting Boards which I use daily. They are surprisingly thick but this makes it more stable and does not move when I use it.The size S board is used to prepare my children's breakfast and school lunch boxes. The M board is used for meal preparation. Both boards are on the small side but appropriate for different purposes.
