Dyeing
craftsman, Masaaki Aoki
After graduating from Tokyo University,
then working at Wacoal for a while, went into natural
plant dyeing in a big way. He loves the unique color
of natural dyes, they're his life's passion, and
Masaaki Aoki is a skilled artisan in the craft.
He uses his skills in the art of natural dying to
produce truly wonderful colors which he brings to
young people through his unique range of products. |

Bamboo
craftsman of Kyoto, Yusuke Yamamoto
Building the complex images he
creates in his head into exquisitly hand-woven bamboo
shapes, he's created some true master pieces, such
as 2 metre tall light fitings and lamps.Other fine
examples of his work are in the form of bamboo sake
tumblers and bamboo charcoal inter-woven into a
latticework of finest Kyoto bamboo. |
